This particular dream begins
back in 1940, when Scott
and Norma Somerville opened
their own office products
business.  The formal legal
document says nothing of the
ideas and aspirations that led
to such a giant step for a young
couple.

Times changed, and the
company changed with it – first
adding one of the areas first
used office furniture
showrooms, and becoming one
of the first sources for mid-
market furniture in Northeast
Ohio.  Norma stepped down as
president in 1987 and was
succeeded by her son and the
company’s current president,
John “Skip” Somerville.

It is Skip who saw a need in the
office furniture market for a
source of good quality products
at an affordable price.  Unable
to find this source, he decided
to become it.  And by doing so,
this family business entered
